Verrutop
Verrutop is a clinical-approved topical medication crafted for the targeted treatment of verrucas and warts.
Verrucas
- Known as Plantar Warts
- Caused by the HPV virus
- Vary in size, shape and appearance
- Often are rough circles of hard skin with black dots in the centre
- Contagious
- Painful when standing and walking
- Spread in warm, moist environments like swimming pools and gyms
- Very hard to treat with over-the-counter remedies
Verrutop is a medication formulated with Nitrizinc Complex, a solution containing nitric acid, organic acids, zinc and copper salts. When applied a reaction takes place, it causes mummification of the tissues; dehydrates it. The verruca will change colour, dry up and fall off.
Unlike Cryotherapy or other chemical treatments, Verrutop does not act by freezing or burning the tissue. Instead, it changes the protein in the verruca, and desiccates the wart tissue, which then falls off the skin, leaving intact skin underneath.
